We are reaching out to support the Lae Urban youths at the DCA Waterfront volunteering to learn and master the skills of landscaping and beautification at public recreational areas under the banner of our Youth Empowerment and Capacity Building Program. We are committed to building an entrepreneurial skills and instill personal viability for the unemployed city residents- a crime diversion strategy that helps to keep the youths out of criminal activities and promote positive mindset and behavior in their community.
We are reaching out to the most vulnerable women in society including widows, single parents, victims of gender-based violence and economically disadvantaged mothers to have access to better skills training programs to enhance their socio-economic livelihoods and enjoy quality of life. The skills training programs help women to learn new skills in sewing cloths, floriculture, bilum and craft making, baking and cookery and financial literacy training.
We are building strong partnerships with local partners and education authorities to reach out to schools to support with donations of library books and other resource materials under our School Library Support Program. The overaching aim of the School Library Support Program is to enhance the level of literacy in schools across Papua New Guinea. Our key development partners in this program are Sir Brian Bell Foundation and Huon-Gulf District Development Authority.
